About The Position

Execute the creative vision that makes RFG unmistakable.



The Creative Manager at RFG Advisory is a creative professional responsible for the hands-on execution of the firm's visual and multimedia output - spanning brand, graphic design, video production, podcast, UX/UI, and AI-enhanced creative workflows.

The Creative Manager is accountable for taking direction from marketing leadership and turning it into high-quality, on-brand creative deliverables with speed, consistency, and follow-through. Organization, process ownership, and relentless execution are the defining traits of this role. The Creative Manager keeps creative moving, keeps quality high, and keeps the team's creative infrastructure organized and accessible.

Strategic vision comes from marketing leadership. The Creative Manager's job is to execute that vision with precision, efficiency, and an unwavering commitment to quality - delivering on time, every time, across every format.


Location: Birmingham, AL (Hybrid 3 days in office/2 days remote)


Reports to: Sr. Director of B2B Marketing


What You'll Do:

Creative Execution

  • Execute creative work across all design categories — print, digital, social, email, event, and sales enablement — in alignment with RFG's brand guidelines, ensuring consistency and quality across corporate and advisor-facing deliverables
  • Lead video and multimedia production for RFG's content series — advisor testimonials, executive thought leadership, event recaps, and promotional campaigns — handling production personally or coordinating freelance partners as needed
  • Manage all podcast creative deliverables — cover art, episode graphics, promotional assets, and distribution visuals — on schedule and to brief
  • Execute UX/UI design for RFG's digital properties, including website updates, landing pages, and email templates, applying brand standards and usability best practices

Process Ownership & Quality Control

  • Establish and maintain a streamlined creative intake process — ensuring all requests are submitted with clear briefs, prioritized consistently, and tracked from submission through delivery
  • Set and communicate realistic turnaround timelines, consistently meeting or beating deadlines without sacrificing quality
  • Build and document repeatable production workflows for all major creative categories — reducing rework and eliminating bottlenecks
  • Streamline creative asset organization across teams — establishing naming conventions, folder structures, and access protocols that make content findable and reusable at scale
  • Implement quality control checkpoints for all creative output, reviewing work against brand standards and brief requirements before delivery

AI Integration

  • Own RFG's AI creative toolset — actively integrating solutions for image generation, video editing, template automation, and asset repurposing into day-to-day production to increase output speed and efficiency
  • Stay current on emerging AI creative tools and proactively identify opportunities to improve production workflows
  • Support the Graphic Designer in adopting and applying AI tools effectively

Reporting & Performance

  • Track and report on core creative KPIs on a regular cadence — including ticket resolution time, asset delivery rate, revision cycles, podcast performance, and YouTube channel performance
  • Maintain a creative production log that gives marketing leadership clear visibility into volume, velocity, and quality of output
  • Surface insights from performance data — flagging what is working, what needs adjustment, and where production bottlenecks are occurring

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on creative experience in graphic design, video production, or multimedia; minimum 2 years managing freelancers, vendors, or a creative team member
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, Film/Media Production, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, and Canva
  • Working knowledge of UX/UI principles and digital design for web, email, and landing page formats
  • Demonstrated use of AI creative tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) in a production context
  • Experience building or maintaining creative workflows, asset libraries, or production management systems
  • Portfolio required — demonstrating range across brand, digital, video, and multimedia formats
  • Experience in financial services, fintech, or wealth management a plus

Benefits and Compensation

Salary: $85,000-$90,000
