InvestmentNews invited financial advice and wealth management professionals across the country to nominate their most exceptional young talent for the inaugural Rising Stars list. Nominees had to be aged 40 or under (as of November 30, 2024) and be committed to a career in wealth management with a clear passion for the industry. Nominees were asked about their current role, key achievements, and career goals, as well as the contributions they’ve made to shaping the industry. Recommendations from managers and senior industry professionals were also taken into account. The Rising Stars were determined by an independent panel of industry leaders.

RFG Advisory was named Best Financial Advisory Firm of 2024 by USA Today and Statista on April 24, 2024.

The ranking of the best registered investment advisory firms (“RIA Firms”) is based on two dimensions: recommendations by financial advisors, clients as well as industry experts and a firm’s development of Assets under Management (AUM).Recommendations were collected via an independent survey among over 25,000 individuals. Clients, industry experts and financial advisors working for an RIA firm could recommend the RIA firms they find commendable. Self-recommendations were prohibited and were therefore not included in the evaluation. AUM development was analyzed both in the short- and long-term using publicly available data. Short-term AUM development was calculated over a twelve-month period from January 2023 to January 2024, while long-term development spanned a five-year period from 2019 to 2024. The final score was calculated by weighting recommendations at 20% and AUM development at 80%. Within the AUM growth metric, short-term and long-term growth were each weighted 30/70. RFG Advisory did not pay a fee to participate or be considered.

This rating was published on April 24th 2024 by USA Today and Statista. The survey period on which this rating was based is from November 6th, 2023 to January 10th, 2024. No fees were paid to USA Today and Statista to obtain this ranking. The Ranking list was funded, directed, and supported by USA TODAY and Statista.

RFG Advisory was named one of the Best Places to Work for Financial Advisors in the USA by Investment News and Best Companies Group on February 28, 2024.

To identify and celebrate the Best Places to Work for Financial Advisors, InvestmentNews and Best Companies Group conducted a comprehensive evaluation process. Organizations were first invited to participate by completing an employer form that detailed their offerings and practices. To qualify, organizations needed to meet specific criteria: they must be a registered investment adviser (RIA), affiliated with an independent broker-dealer (IBD), or a hybrid/dually registered firm doing business through an RIA; be based in the United States; employ a minimum of 15 full- or part-time employees in the U.S., with all employees included in the count regardless of department; and have been in business for at least one year.

The evaluation process included two key components: an in-depth questionnaire completed by employers and a company-wide survey allowing employees to provide candid feedback. Once both parts were completed, InvestmentNews analyzed the data to determine whether the organization met the high standards required to earn recognition as a “best” workplace. For credibility, organizations with 15–24 employees needed an 80% or higher response rate on the employee survey to qualify.

InvestmentNews/Best Companies Group awarded RFG Advisory, LLC., its 2024 Best Places to Work award on February 28, 2024 after extensive survey, research and analysis were completed from October 2023 thru January 2024.

RFG Advisory was named the Top Advisor Support Platform of 2024 by WealthManagement.com on September 5, 2024.

The Wealthmanagement.com Industry Awards are independently granted in recognition of business initiatives that enhance financial advisor success and help advisors create better outcomes for their clients. The program begins with an open nomination process for all categories which extends from February to May. Firms submit business initiatives either introduced or enhanced during the previous 18 months. Submissions are reviewed in June by a panel of independent judges with required industry expertise, looking at the submission’s innovation, scope and impact. From the pool of submissions, judges select finalists for each category. Each judge on the committee then ranks those finalists, with the weighted aggregate ranking determining the winner. Winners are announced in September. No financial compensation is paid for consideration in the award process. Judges’ decisions are made independent of any firm’s business relationships with Informa Plc. Judges recuse themselves from the process from selecting finalists or winners for any category where the conflict exists.

“Best Companies Group conducts a simple yet thorough company assessment designed to gather detailed information about your workplace. Employers will complete an in-depth questionnaire and employees will have the opportunity to offer their honest feedback by taking part in a company-wide survey. Both portions of the assessment must be complete in order to be considered for the “best” list.
Once both portions of the assessment are complete, we’ll analyze the data to determine if your organization has what it takes to be the “best.” From there, we’ll use the data to rank each participating organization and compile your BCG EnGauge Dashboard which is available for purchase. That report will include responses from your employee surveys as well as benchmarking reports, allowing you to compare your organization to the current list-makers.
The Employee Engagement & Satisfaction Survey consists of approximately 77 statements that employees respond to along with two open-ended and seven demographic questions.”

RFG Advisory was named one of the Top 50 RIA Firms by ETF.com on November 18, 2024.

etf.com editors will review and select Financial Advisors and RIA firms based on their ability to achieve returns for client portfolios, hit client goals, offer a breadth of specialties, exhibit a solid and consistent track record, maintain fiduciary interests for clients, and more. A key selection criterion is significant ETF allocation in client portfolios. Fee models, asset size minimums, diversity of teams, and asset management strategies will also be considered. The list will aim to feature a diverse list of advisors and firms from smaller boutique firms to that of larger companies that may be able to provide more comprehensive financial management. It will include firms and advisors whose client portfolio range in size, from very high net-worth households to those with smaller amounts of net worth and investable assets.
